JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: To assist the Assistant Principal in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of an administrator at the school.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must successfully pass District skills test.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and willing to learn other applications.
- Ability to plan, organize and carry out assignments without supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to do detailed work accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to use all office equipment including the computer.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- A high school diploma or it's equivalent.
- Excellent human relations skills – positive attitude.
- Excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of office procedures and telephone etiquette.
- Must be skilled in typing and use of office machines, including the computer.

IV. Supervision
1. Supervise Office Practice students.
V. Secretarial Duties
1. Coordinate the Assistant Principal’s workflow.
2. Answer the main telephone.
3. Assist and confer with parents and students in the office.
4. Process discipline referrals; maintain discipline files and records.
5. Type correspondence and reports.
6. Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
VI. Reasoning and Judgment
1. Maintain student suspension reports on students.
2. Set up and maintain student discipline files on students.
3. Maintain In-School suspension records
