JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:  Process information regarding attendance

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or it's equivalent.
  2. Successfully pass District skills test.
  3. Ability to work well with young people and staff.
  4. Possess good spelling and proofreading skills.
  5. Have good organizational skills.
  6. Have excellent human relations skills.
  7. Possess sensitivity toward children.
  8. Have some previous experience of working with children.
  9. Experience with Tyler PULSE preferred.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Attendance related duties:
  2. Call parents when a student has excessive absence and/or tardy.
  3. Process parental notes into SISK12.
  4. Process attendance letter to go to the parent.
  5. Enter SISK12 attendance information.
  6. Generate daily, weekly and/or monthly attendance report.
  7. Maintain attendance files.
  8. Working in tandem with the Discipline Department for proper coding.
  9. Post pre-marked attendance.
  10. Check students in and out during the day.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch and to lift up to 35 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required included close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust and focus and depth perception.  Specific auditory abilities required include normal conversation, phone conversation and ability to isolate voices in multiple conversations.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS:

The work setting involves performance in a school environment with various levels of staff and students.  The accomplishment of tasks is often interrupted by persons with special and/or immediate needs.  Work conditions feature frequent demands to address conditions, problems, and conflicts that involve students and parents with diverse backgrounds and needs.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Assigned to 260-day work calendar; 8 hours per day vary; compensation and benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life) as provided by the Board of Education.
