Fall Contract
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: Direct and supervise stationary percussion for the marching band.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a teaching certificate or a substitute-teaching certificate (60 or more college hours).
Knowledge/Skills – Verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented and communicates in a positive manner with others. Works well under stressful situations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
Examples of Work Performed:
- Attend and supervise all pit mallet practice sessions and performances.
- Perform accompanying duties assigned by the high school band director.
- Establish good working rapport with students, and Marching Band Team
- Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for supervision and instruction of the mallet line for Marching band season including all stationary percussion
- Supervision and assistance of the Head Marching Band Director
- Submit Time Sheets to High School Band Director if one is required no later than the Monday following the reporting period
- Participate in “All District” Band Events. Failure to participate in All District Band Events will result in a 25% reduction of the contract. A copy of events is included in the posting.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position typically works (June through November)
Season: Fall contract estimated at a minimum of 12 weeks
This contract is paid one time on Nov 9th
